Costa Vida - AB T2Z 4E7

I was worried this would be another overpriced place like BarBurrito or Quesada, where none of the food is even authentic tasting, but I was extremely surprised. The street tacos are delicious and taste pretty close to the real thing you'd find in Mexico, and only cost 2.00-2.50 each, which is cheaper than the revolting "tacos" from Taco Bell. I finished with the Tres Leche cake, which almost had me licking the container clean.

Kids eat free after 4:00 on Mondays!!!!!!! Love it! Also, the bottomless horchata is to die for. Yes it's always worth it. Even had some leftovers.

I love this place. Riley gave impeccable service, and walked through every step of the burrito process. I was amazed! Go to Costa Vida and if you get Riley you are lucky!

My favorite place for lunch when I'm around 130th. Super friendly staff, great daily specials, food is always top notch. Tortillas made before your eyes and unlimited Valentina what more could you ask for.

I love this Costa Vida location! The staff are always friendly and helpful and do their best to accommodate order requests. Came here for lunch the other day and on Mondays you can choose any of the weekly deal you want so I picked burrito. For 12.50 it was a huge portion size, and upon paying was also pleasantly surprised to find it also included a drink in the price! Staff also let me know a fresh batch of savoury pork was going to be available in just a few mins so I was happy to wait for it. Love it when a restaurant gives you the freshest food possible. I also love that Costa vida makes their own tortillas fresh to order. So much nicer than the cold stale ones you get at other places.

Vegetarian and I love costa! my partner loves the pulled pork in any form but his fav is the smothered burrito! I love the salad with a fresh tortilla on the side to eat with my salad. I also love a plain cheese quesadilla with the beans and rice on the side! The guac here is to die for always fresh and full of flavor I just love costa !

As a Texan coming here I had high expectations. It was delicious. I’m not saying it feels like authentic Mexican food but if we’re comparing this place to Chipotle then Costa Vida is better. The employees seemed happy to work here too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Chipotle employee smile.

Scheduled to OPEN - Sunday Nov 19, 2017. Another Costa Vida in Calgary. I met with Brent (one of the owners) for an exclusive pre-launch tour of this fast-casual restaurant. Great job on the food, I had a shredded beef burrito. They layout of this store is one of the best I’ve seen. Easy to access the line where you order and then move to the seating area. The drink location may become congested, but time will tell. Committed owners with quality food and service. Sounds like a recipe for a great experience.
